Fast Lane gets a Facelift (with a LOT help from my friends)

Monday, Dec 8.

Bottom is in relatively good condition.  Barnacles on Keel and Rudder only.  Right side of rudder nearly all paint gone.  Extra waterline paint still in good condition.  General bottom paint very thin after pressure washing. No paint at the bow, and a few barnacles

Keel joint a little cracked, but this is no big deal.

Only about 15 blisters, mainly on the port side of the hull just forward of the keel.

Saturday, Dec 13  James McTavish does some washing & buffing on the hull
Sunday totally rained Out

Jim Yates Prepped to Grind out the old bulkhead

The big surprise the second weekend was the weakened bulkhead under the mast step.

This required removing the mast, and Jim Yates chose to remove the bulkhead,
rather than repair in place.
